About the Café
Paula Buxton, owner/chef of Leo's Cafe started cooking in restaurants when she was just 14. A few years later, in 1991, she graduated from the Culinary Institute of America.
In 1992 Paula bought Leo's Cafe in the historical Adams-Ritchie House* in Annapolis Royal and has been serving great food and hospitality ever since.
We strive to use locally grown and raised food whenever possible, and are very open to accommodating food preferences and allergies.
From our home made bread and sandwiches to our delicious desserts, we take much pride in the food that we serve.
*The Adams-Ritchie house was built as early as 1713 by John Adams, a provincial councilor who hosted government meetings there when Annapolis Royal was the provincial capital. John W. Ritchie, one of the Fathers of Confederation, was born here in 1808.
